A well-balanced landscape design will include an attractive combination of both hardscaping and Softscaping elements. - Xeriscaping: Xeriscaping is a landscaping method that aims to reduce the need for irrigation. It involves using drought-tolerant plants, efficient irrigation, and mulching to create a low-maintenance and environmentally friendly landscape. Xeriscaping is designed specifically for areas that are susceptible to drought, or for properties where water conservation is practiced. The term "xeriscaping" comes from Greek and means "dry-scaping".
